Jenny Smith, the owner of Jenny’s Jams Limited is a trained chef and has been making her award winning fruit preserves for over 10 years.
Back in 2005 Jenny and her daughter Elinor went strawberry picking, and proceeded to pick far too much for immediate use. Jenny set to and made jam with the strawberries she might otherwise have wasted. Many jars were given as Christmas presents to family and friends. Very soon she was besieged with requests for further jars. Jenny then decided to try them at a car boot sale, and she quickly gained loyal customers. Before she knew it she had weekends booked to go to shows around Lincolnshire, and the week was spent filling orders for various farm shops, delis, restaurants, cafes and hotels.
